The Global Ambassador, the luxury hotel being developed in Phoenix’s Arcadia neighborhood by famed Valley restaurateur Sam Fox, has signed a partnership deal with Preferred Hotels & Resorts, a deal that will connect the property with some of the most celebrated high-end hotels in the country.

Expected to open in November, The Global Ambassador is now part of Preferred Hotels & Resorts’ Legend Collection, which puts the hotel alongside Baccarat Hotel New York, Montage Laguna Beach and Carneros Resort and Spa in Napa Valley. Preferred Hotels does sales, marketing and technology solutions for independent hotels all over the world.

"To find ourselves counted among the very hotels that have consistently ranked as personal favorites of mine is a meaningful milestone and one that has been aspirational for us,” Fox said in a statement. “This partnership aligns with our commitment to providing unrivaled luxury and service, and we are excited to join this group of properties worldwide.”

The 141-room hotel will feature five original dining venues, pool and wellness center. The hotel will start taking reservations in mid-October for stay starting in early December, the company announced Tuesday. Room rates for the Global Ambassador will start at $650 per night.

Fox has been working on the Global Ambassador for years, and he has overseen almost every design aspect. He is developing it under his company Author & Edit Hospitality, which is separate from Fox Restaurant Concepts. He is working with his friend and business partner Brian Frakes of Common Bond Development on creating the hotel. Fox has also brought in several high-profile investors including Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker.

In May, Fox unveiled complete details about the five restaurants that will be featured on the property, that include a Parisian steakhouse, a patisserie, an eatery serving Mexican and Peruvian-inspired dishes, a Mediterranean rooftop restaurant and a lobby bar. Additionally, the hotel will feature the Global Ambassador Club, a members-only club with private restaurant, The Grill.
